Psychological therapy
A confidential space to understand patterns, process difficult experiences and develop ways of responding that fit your life.
The starting point
Therapy can be useful when thoughts, feelings, behaviour or relationships have become difficult to manage alone. It can also support reflection, adjustment and growth without assuming that every difficulty is an illness.
What sessions involve
Sessions begin by agreeing what would make the work useful. Some people need space to speak and make sense of experience; others value a clearer focus, practical exercises or between-session reflection. The balance can change over time.
Current arrangements
Sessions are available online, with in-person work possible in Essex and Cambridgeshire. EHG does not host at a fixed venue; in-person arrangements are agreed with the client or organisation. Appointment availability varies. Work with 16- and 17-year-olds requires parent or guardian involvement.
Couples and family work
EHG offers couples work and systemic therapy with families where this falls within the agreed service. Suitability, participation, confidentiality and information-sharing arrangements are discussed before work begins.
A careful first step
A free initial consultation explores what has been happening, what support you are seeking and whether the service is appropriate. Clients usually begin with this consultation unless they have been referred through an agreed route.
