The starting point
Coach Dann works across psychological therapy, communication and performance. His current practice supports individuals and couples, athletes and professionals, and teams and organisations.
Psychological work
The approach is integrative and may draw on counselling, CBT, DBT-informed skills, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and psychodynamic thinking. Sessions are shaped around the person and the agreed purpose of the work.
Communication and relationships
Work can explore spoken and non-verbal communication, conflict patterns, trust, boundaries and the difference between intention and impact across personal and professional relationships.
Performance
Coach Dann supports amateur, developing, elite and professional athletes with confidence, pressure, emotional regulation, routines, identity, recovery and debriefing. His experience spans elite tennis, professional football, American football, professional basketball, track and field, professional bodybuilding and professional boxing. Client identities remain confidential.
Qualifications and professional memberships
Dann holds a BSc in Forensic Psychology, an MSc in the Psychology of Mental Health and Wellbeing, advanced counselling training, personal training qualifications at Level 3 and above, and nutrition training through the Weight Management and Nutrition Centre. He is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society and a Practitioner Member of the Complementary Medical Association.
Practical details
Services are available online in the UK and internationally. In-person work may be arranged in Essex or Cambridgeshire, with EHG travelling to the agreed location. Appointment availability varies. Services include work with adults and young people aged 16+, with parent or guardian involvement for 16- and 17-year-olds.
