Mental health

Psychological support for real life

Therapy and consultation shaped around what is happening, what matters to you and the wider life in which the difficulty sits.

Everything healthbecause it all matters.

The starting point

Mental health rarely exists in isolation. Sleep, relationships, health, movement, work and identity can all affect how someone feels and copes. EHG starts with the person rather than reducing them to a label.

01

Ways that EHG may help

Current psychological work includes integrative therapy, consultation and performance-focussed support. The first conversation is used to understand the enquiry and whether an EHG service is suitable.

  • Psychological therapy for adults and young people aged 16+
  • Support for anxiety, mood, grief, trauma-related difficulties and OCD
  • Relationships, communication and behaviour change
  • Consultation for athletes, professionals, teams and organisations
02

An integrative approach

Work may draw on counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, DBT-informed skills, motivational interviewing, mindfulness and psychodynamic thinking. The approach is selected thoughtfully; it is never a collection of techniques applied without context.

03

Assessment, diagnosis and formulation

EHG can complete appropriate pre-screening tools and assessments to contribute useful information towards a possible diagnosis. People who require formal diagnosis are referred along the appropriate route to a suitably regulated clinician. Where diagnosis is outside the purpose of the work, EHG can develop a psychological formulation to understand the person’s experiences, patterns and needs.

04

Scope and referrals

EHG currently does not have the facilities for emergency care. Diagnosis, medication and specialist assessments require appropriately regulated clinicians, that we can refer individuals to. When another professional or service is better placed, EHG will explain the next step or signpost you clearly.
