Nutrition
Food, health and the life around them
Practical nutrition support that considers habits, culture, budget, movement, goals and relationship with food.
The starting point
EHG brings more than 20 years of experience supporting elite athletes, regular gym-goers and people working towards everyday health goals. The team’s nutritional training includes study through the Weight Management and Nutrition Centre, alongside extensive experience across fitness, counselling and psychology.
Ways that EHG may help
Nutritional services can include individual food plans, “go-to” shopping lists for specific goals, everyday nutrition, eating habits, weight-management support, meal planning and nutrition around exercise or performance.
Pricing after consultation
Nutrition plans vary according to the information gathered during the free initial consultation. The proposed work and price are explained before the client decides whether to continue.
Experience across sport and everyday health
For more than 20 years, EHG’s work has included elite athletes, regular gym-goers and people seeking practical support with food, training and health. Plans are shaped around the person’s goals, routine, access, preferences and wider life.
Therapeutic and counselling support
Psychological or counselling work may address thoughts, emotions, behaviour, body image and identity connected with eating. A formulation can organise these connections and help define an appropriate focus.
When specialist care is needed
Suspected eating disorders, nutritional risk, medical instability, significant deficiency and prescribed therapeutic diets require review. EHG will discuss referral to a GP, registered dietitian, eating-disorder service or another appropriate specialist when the presentation reaches the relevant threshold or sits beyond the practitioner’s scope.
Beyond a meal plan
Food choices are shaped by time, access, appetite, routine, relationships, sleep, stress and culture. Support should acknowledge these realities rather than reduce nutrition to compliance.
