Grief and loss
Space for what has changed, what remains and the life that continues around the loss.
The starting point
Loss may involve bereavement, relationship endings, health, identity, work, home, fertility or an expected future. There is no single timetable or correct emotional sequence.
What support can offer
Therapy can provide a place to speak about the person or part of life that has been lost, including mixed feelings that may be hard to share elsewhere.
Living alongside grief
The aim is not to erase a meaningful bond. Work may focus on carrying the loss, responding to waves of emotion, handling practical change and reconnecting with parts of life when the time is right.
Additional help
Some grief is accompanied by severe depression, trauma responses or risk. EHG will discuss GP, crisis or specialist bereavement support where appropriate.
